49600 - סדנה בין מקצועית

The Yarkon river surrounding has become a fruitful ground for conflict, instead of production and produce. Clashes between Israeli Arabs, farmers, polluting industries and tourism initiative creates tension among competing interests bringing into focus the conflict between environment and development. The workshop will delve into the causes of these conflicts, comparing them with conflicts elsewhere in the world. Is this a follow ground for sustainability? Who is creating the policy? Locally? Nationally?
The workshop is multidisciplinary, with students from law, agriculture, environmental policy, planning, and ecology. Students work together in multidisciplinary groups to understand a problem from their various viewpoints, finding common ground to solve what seems to be unsolvable. The workload requires presence at three separate classes with lectures, a three day workshop on March and a power point presentation or role playing presentation of the entire group studying one of the conflicts considered.
